I mostly mean the forum itself and just the ComiPo community as a whole. What problems have you felt need addressing, whether it's on here or just the general collective of people that use ComiPo? How do you think we can fix those? How do you think we can improve as a community? I'll post my thoughts later... When I have them mentally aligned in my head. For now, let's hear YOUR input!  |

I am hoping to do some ComiPo workshops/panels/presentations at conventions. Hopefully, we can gain more ComiPo community members this way! I also think that we should remember to support everyone's work. This doesn't mean that you can't criticize it, but you mustn't just be negative towards creators, especially new ones. Give your input if they ask for it, and send helpful tips their way. We are a big community that strives on the help of each other!

Honestly we can improve a lot by pulling together and trying to work as a team instead of as independent groups we should all do our best to help other poers better themselves and to receive help to better ourselves as well getting help and giving help is a 2 way thing you need to be able to work as a team with others to truly be able to better yourself and that's what the comipo community needs teaming up and helping each other instead of fighting and being angry at each other

Share tutorials, share/make resources, comment on comic pages you see, comment on statuses/journals.
A lot of people talk about improving the community again and again, but I notice very few actually do these. Talk is nice, but it won't change anything. Did you comment on any comic updates this week? Did you communicate with a creator and reply to his/her status or journal this week? Don't just keep to the same comics you see every day, comment on works of others/new creators.
Rather than big contests or community events, I feel these little things would go a long way.
Teaming up how, lorelai? If you mean we should work together for one project, we'll have to agree to disagree. I like working alone and having full control of my projects.
On that note, there are fights? I thought everything's pretty fine now, but I let a lot of things go under my radar (ditzy, general apathy). Any problems, you can let me know and we can talk it out.

Ive been trying to be more active on other pages talking to poers I haven't interacted with and trying to favorite post and wanting to be more active and help out more ebbony as for fights im referring to the small groups and cliques formed by people due to past drama things (like for example the cntm drama and the group formed by that as well as just general airs of minor things here in their as I know not everyone can get along but still) and well as for the teaming up I mean...yes and no not just doing some collab comic but just generally going to others to help them better their works while they try to help you as well allowing
Something like group discussions about things kinda like whats on the forum. places we can go to offer help with comics with ideas and maybe even just to talk works and such.
and yeah sharing tutorials and resources and commenting more would be good for others

It's helpful to think of "favorite post" and "suggest ideas" activities as a means of relating and communicating on an artistic level. It will come naturally and produce more efficient results in the long run. |
