So we all know about how Stephen King and other great horror novelists use their nightmares for ideas, right? Well I'm trying that, because after a year, this one weird dream I had kept on piercing my mind like a knife. I've already started doing some work on it, but there's some details I need help with...
Namely, I need as many types of magic as possible. They're all groups of four, and I don't know how many teams there are. So... Any ideas for elements/types of magic in general, and maybe how many teams there should be, would be a great help! >w<
NOTES: Elements already used include Space, Earth, Light and Sympathy. The game is a life or death treasure hunt among magical girls.

Darkness is one of my favourite elements. Basically, you can use it to control shadows and dark thoughts.

Oooh I like that idea! I debated making that the one I gave to the space one, but somehow... Space called out to me. xD

Lying magic.
It mainly manifests in a single form: white energy. Therefore, the street term for it is known as "white lies". It could be a sub-class of dark magic and work opposite the energy of Sympathy.
White liars are masters of somatic impulses and have outstanding suppression ability. They are widely known for their ability to form alliances. Lying magic, in attack form, is mainly conjured through the tongue -- during attacks, the user can release the magic through mechanisms similar to how dragons breathe fire. The user must be careful, however, as exerting too much of it can backfire and set the user on fire. The pant area is especially susceptible to fire. This phenomena is known as "pants on fire". It is common for lying magic users, and can be directly countered with sympathy magic.
While lying magic users are often confident, ruthless and stubborn individuals, the distribution of them between good and evil alliances is skewed in favor of the former. It is not uncommon to see a skilled lying magic user on the heroic side.
Lying magic is fairly powerful. Consequently, it is a tricky magic that contains a steep learning curve. When their lying magic fails, it turns yellow. This produces the "coward" debuff, and is extremely harmful to the user's overall ability. Even with extensive training, no white liar can avoid the possibility of turning yellow.
Additionally, rumors have spoken of an immense strength gained from practicing Lying and Sympathy together. The abilities and effects are largely unknown at this time.

I really like this concept! You sure it's okay for me to make use of it?

There's a story with a similar concept, Magical Girl Raising Project (Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku). Not my cup of tea, but maybe you can have a look and use some of its elements for inspiration.

I got really nervous when you said it was a similar concept because I forgot similar doesn't mean the same- so, I had to look it up immediately. I'll have to look deeper to find the types of magic used, but this'll definitely be a great resource! Thanks Ebony!
