We all have strengths and weaknesses when it comes to just about any task- so doesn't that mean we have our strengths and weaknesses with ComiPo too? I think it'd be interesting to see what strengths other's have and what weaknesses we can all help each other overcome! ^^
My strengths: Backgrounds (according to Elise), not sure of any others. My weaknesses: Shading is my mortal enemy. And special effects, mostly.
What about you guys? Who's good at what, and how can we use this knowledge to aid each other?

Strengths: Interesting characters, stories, and scene setups (feedback from multiple people)
Weaknesses: I run out of ideas and end up ultimately trashing the series until another spark comes around, I think too much ahead, I keep getting into corners

I agree with those strengths, Robo. My strengths: Paneling. My weaknesses: Speech bubbles and dialogue. I really struggle with the latter. Often, they differ in font size and appear in odd, cramped locations on my pages.

I wasn't even thinking of those strengths Robo! Nice point!
I totally have a hard time with hitting a block and trashing things too. >w< I think I'm good at interesting stories and characters, but I can't be sure.
Feather, that's hard for lots of us. I promise you, it drives me nuts too!

I wish I could just record myself speaking and slap it on a page. I mean, I usually talk as if I'm the character when I write what they say [it's super helpful, try it if you're ever stuck with dialogue], so I don't think it would be much additional effort. XD

Strengths: Uh...I suppose my storytelling? People seem to like my panelling as well.
Weaknesses: Magic scenes for sure. Also, I'm not the best at shading, in my opinion.

I would like to improve in: 1) lighting and shadows - I especially like StrikeKid's soft lighting style, as of now I couldn't get that effect. 2) dynamic panelling - Fea's excellent in this, so I always study your pages and see how I can try emulate it in a long-strip comic format. 3) action scenes - Saralei and @usuidango (twitter) are great at this, and I'd like to be as good as them.
My two cents are, find someone/a style you are interested in, try to emulate it, and then when you're familiar with it you can tweak it in your style.
I think it'd be great if we could make tutorials of things we're good at, but there are people who find it uncomfortable sharing their secrets (understandable, they might have worked a lot to reach where they are), plus making tutorials are kinda a pain in the ass.

I love StrikeKid's soft lighting style! I take inspiration from it.
Thanks, Ebony. ^^ It's funny, since I actually was studying some of your Snippets pages recently. I love what you do with your panels!
I agree with your bit on tutorials. I've considered doing them, but I've avoided doing so because I've gotten stuck on trying to explain things. I agree with your strengths, Elise! I really like your newest story.
You certainly have a thing for designs, Lor. Maybe you could balance your focus by allotting time in the day for both designs and story development?
